| South Africa |

South Africa is by far the most visually gratifying country ive ever been to. It is so naturally endowed with the most breathtaking landscapes that you keep wondering if its the same "god-forsaken" continent and country with the highest crime rate that people back in india were talking about. It presents the classic scene of a sunny veld, the high-lying,spacious glass covered land with deep-blue african skies, golden beaches, lakes, lagoons and meandering rivers. Its got this spectacular combination of mountains, plains and sea all in one. Its coastline is marked by a succession of bays, beaches, cliffs, capes, links one beautiful resort to another.
Our apartment balcony opens up to a massive blue bed. I've always envied the people living in apartments facing marine drive and juhu in mumbai and dreamed of living in such a house some day. But, this,is even better. It is just so refreshing. The sound of the waves so soothing. The water so inviting. The colour of water changes like a chameleon. You'll find the most spectacular colours at this place.
The cloud formations here are awfully awesome especially atop the mountains. Every formation narrates a story. A legend. what you see and how you interpret it is left to your imagination. I had heard of star gazing but cloud gazing is something that i got introduced to in SA. I absolutely enjoy the drive back home from work everyday. Its so relaxing to just watch the clouds and imagine different shapes. We've captured some lovely pictures and will upload them soon.
Cape Town is the crossroads for two different ocean currents-the cold Benguela from Antarctica, which runs up the West Coast, and a warm current that flows down the East Coast from the Indian Ocean. The currents collide at the Cape, resulting in the tremendous cloud formations that often sit atop Table Mountain or cascade over the mountain range.
The sea around Cape Town is cold, but the beaches more than make up for this by being some of the coolest and fashionable urban beaches in the world! The water in Strand beach in False Bay is quite warm because of indian ocean and comfortable to swim and surf. This place is extremely windy at times and ideal for the wind surfers to have a rocking weekend. The beaches are packed during sunny days.
What I best like about this place is the spirit to live life to the fullest. Age certainly doesnt matter and everybody is so young at heart. Well, not just that! People here are so much into cycling, kanoeing and fitness in general that it doesnt stop with age. So, you'll find old men with really buff bodies :) which is truly inspiring :)!
On the whole this country is paradise for nature lovers. Every day is more refreshing than the one that went by. So much to explore, so much to conquer, so much to get mesmerized by, so much to just keep watching and go to sleep with pleasant dreams. |

| | She keeps on coming-Beegees | ] | I had this dream yesterday. It made no sense[well none of them do actually]...but this 1 was something that i never expected. My dreams at times are quite weird. What i really want(concerning my life) is not what i see. There are times when i wake up with a jerk(movie style) when i see paradoxial things happening. Cant figure out if thatz what i really want. I have this strong feeling that its my alter-ego playing tricks on me.I am sure i have an alternative personality hidden within. She probably lives her share of life mostly when im asleep and i can keep track of her whereabouts through my dreams!?! Why i feel this way is coz in my dreams, im not exactly what i really am."She" is pretty much another person(except that "she" superficially looks like me). Is this hidden personality of mine trying to help me make better decisions? Does she know whatz best for me or is she evil?is she trying to mislead me? How do i know whether or not to trust her?If she's the "bad" kind, i want to name her EVILA.But, if she's an angel...she should be called Carey. No one has really seen this other side of me[more sensitive, always contemplating, more sensible?].
There is a possibility that my counterpart is feeling exactly the same too. I probably live my share of life in her dreams??The decisions i make probably affect her too. Maybe, she's trying to figure out if she could trust me.We deal with the same people but, deal with them differently. We live in the same world with similar surroundings but both of us look at things differently.
Whoz the real Rashmi then?
A night with an angel...
I don't even know your name You don't know mine But what's a name compared to What you brought me Distance brings intimacy Ignorance makes us free Please, stay a stranger to me Don't try to be my friend |

| | Unforgiven-Creed | ] | A trailer bus(Janti vahana) knocked off a vegetable vendor's cart today. It(The cart) performed a somersault which ended up scattering 100s of tomatoes all over the road. Most of them got totally damaged. The driver stopped for a second, gave the woman a glance and sped away with the trailer shaking its butt like it was no fault of its. The woman didnt say a word and started picking up the "leftovers". I couldnt figure out what was going on in her mind. She was not like the usual vendors who wait for a chance to create a big scene. Was it no big deal or what? |

| | Sad but true-Metallica | ] | Maybe not many of u would agree with me...but this is what i feel. Most of the b'lor guys that ive met- 1) r selfish(esp p****ians...we've had a lot of experience, havent we?) 2) do not show as much chivalry as guys r normally expected to sho 3) Have a bad attitude 4) r not the "sweet" types. Well, even if they have all the positive qualities...u can be dead sure that therez some tinge of weirdness. Most of them r split personality...show double standards.
Only a handful of them behave normally.
I appreciate one thing about them though...none of them are hypocrites...they take a lot of pride in showing the world what weirdos they are! Definitely an aberration. |
